Did you hear the one about the developer who started out as a breakdancer? Everyone has a Drupal origin story, and no two are alike. We caught up with Drupal pros at DrupalCon Austin to hear their stories, including how they got started in Drupal, plus trends they’re seeing now that will shape the destiny of the web.
1. “We used Drupal to help a client go from 1,000 visitors a month to 100,000!” WatchKristen Pol of Hook42 share her experiences with Drupal, which allows businesses to easily leverage search engine optimization (SEO).
2. “Enterprises increasingly want to leverage open-source in a way that is flexible to deploy, so they can work on it themselves.” Watch Jeff Walpole of Phase2 Technology share his experiences with Drupal, and why this open-source CMS is a growing trend for enterprises.
3. “As device use increases, people are expecting websites to behave more like apps. They want responsive, fast, dynamic websites that respond directly to their actions.” Watch Brad Campeau-Laurion of Alley Interactive share his experiences using Drupal to build enterprise-scale websites.
4. “Our client’s team was able to enter content on the test environment while we were still developing the site. This allowed them to launch on schedule.” Watch Peter McWilliams of August Ash share how they use Drupal to speed development for clients with non-technical stakeholders.
5. “Maintainability is an important part of Drupal websites. That’s where I focus much of my work now.” Watch Antonio Estevez of DOOR3 share how he got started with Drupal.
